To the Elected Officials of the People and the Ministers of God in the State of Indiana,

The following petition is comprised of pastors in the state of Indiana who are calling on you to uphold God’s standard of righteousness and law, by protecting the preborn children in Indiana, by abolishing the practice of human abortion.

We acknowledge your authority comes from God as Romans 13:1 states; Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. You are our ministers of God (Romans 13:4), and we, as Christians, desire to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. –1 Timothy 2:1-2

The Lord has called us, as ministers of God, to Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. -2 TImothy 4:2 This call to preach the word, and to reprove, rebuke, and exhort not only applies to the sheep God has called us to shepherd in our church, it also applies to all people in our community, including our elected officials. Our message to you is this, Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. -Psalm 2:10-12

One of the greatest atrocities in Indiana today, is the plight of the preborn children. In 2018, 8,037 preborn children, innocent image-bearers of God, were murdered in the womb, under your jurisdiction. In light of this, the Lord commands us, as ministers of God to reprove and rebuke you for this, and to call you to repentance for permitting the shedding of innocent blood in our state, which God hates. We appeal to the laws of God, Indiana code, and the Indiana Constitution and demand that you abolish this bloodshed. The sixth commandment states:

-God’s Law: Thou Shalt Not Kill -Exodus 20:13

-Indiana Code Title 16-34-2-1.1 states That human physical life begins when a human ovum is fertilized by a human sperm. and Indiana Code Title 35-42-1-1 states A person who: knowingly or intentionally kills another human being; commits murder, a felony.

Indiana Constitution Section 1:
WE DECLARE, That all people are created equal; that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that all power is inherent in the People; and that all free governments are, and of right ought to be, founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and well-being. For the advancement of these ends, the People have, at all times, an indefeasible right to alter and reform their government.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, we hereby beseech our elected officials, as though God did beseech you by us to end the slaughter of the preborn in Indiana, and to protect all children in the womb, no exceptions. We remind you that it is your constitutional obligation and command from God, to grant equal rights to the preborn and to protect them. We are praying that God gives you supernatural boldness to do what is right, and to “love your preborn neighbor as yourself!” Finally, if you abolish this evil in our state, know this, we will stand beside you, no matter the cost!

We acknowledge your authority comes from God as states; Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. You are our ministers of God () and we, as Christians, desire to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. -
